VICE PRESIDENT OF ACQUISITIONS AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Matt Monson is Vice President of Acquisitions and Business Development for Mainstreet Health Investments, responsible for evaluating, structuring and closing acquisitions and investments into third party developments.
Mr. Monson was previously Vice President of Acquisitions and Business Development at Mainstreet Property Group where he oversaw new investments, asset management, and the firm’s investment relationships. Prior to joining Mainstreet, Mr. Monson was Director, Corporate Investments at Welltower (NYSE: HCN) where he was responsible for investments and dispositions of medical office and seniors housing properties and operations as well as overseeing the financial and operating performance of key operating partners. Mr. Monson’s management and transaction experience in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. includes joint ventures, real estate and operating company acquisitions, public M&A, development equity and mezzanine, and real estate dispositions.
Mr. Monson holds an MBA from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University, a master’s degree in real estate from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. He is an active member of the real estate council at Cornell’s Baker Program in Real Estate and sits on BYU’s construction management advisory board.
